SOC Analyst (24x7 Shift and Day roles – CL10)

Security Clearance: Must be willing to undergo a Security Clearance process requiring 5+ years UK address history at the point of application.
Responsibilities
* Monitoring and responding to alerts.
* Escalating alerts where necessary.
* Proposing tuning requests.
* Producing reports.
* Maintaining awareness of the latest threats and vulnerabilities.
* Mentoring colleagues.
Qualifications
* One to two years of experience in a similar role desirable.
* Good understanding of computer networks, operating systems, software, hardware and security.
* Understanding of cyber security risks associated with various technologies and ways to manage them.
* Good working knowledge of various security technologies such as network and application firewalls, host intrusion prevention and antivirus.
* Any relevant academic or industry specific training.

* Understanding of basic cybersecurity principles and concepts.
* Knowledge of common attack vectors and malware types.
* Awareness of security tools and technologies.
* Good understanding of incident response principles.
