The Role
You’ll be right at the heart of the kitchen, working closely with the Head Chef to shape and deliver our seasonal offering.
* Support the Head Chef in creating and delivering seasonal menus
* Work across all areas of the kitchen—from prep to pass
* Help lead a small, close-knit team and maintain high standards
* Be involved in stock control, ordering, and reducing waste
* Work across varied services
* Step up and run the kitchen when required
What We’re Looking For
* Experience as a Junior Sous, Sous Chef, or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up
* A passion for seasonal, produce-led cooking
* Someone who wants to learn.
* Calm under pressure with a positive, team-first attitude
* Organised, hands-on, and happy working in a small team environment
Why This Role is Different
This isn’t a big brigade where you’re stuck on one section. You’ll be involved in everything—from prep and service to menu planning and working with produce from our own land.
It’s a chance to properly develop, take on responsibility, and grow quickly as the business evolves.
About Us
Kinsbrook began as a vineyard just outside Thakeham, West Sussex. In 2022, we opened Kinsbrook Farmhouse—a Sussex barn-style space at the heart of our food and wine offering.
Upstairs, we run breakfast (on selected days), lunch, and dinner services, alongside private hire and experience-led evenings (tasting menus, set menus, events).
Downstairs, we operate a café, deli, and wine bar open seven days a week. In summer, we expand onto the patio with pizza ovens, BBQ, and a relaxed seasonal menu.
It’s a varied, fast-moving environment—and the kitchen team is involved in all of it.
