What Are We Looking For?

Owing to continued success, DPS are looking to recruit a Project Engineer to join our business. The primary responsibility of the project engineer is to oversee the technical aspects of projects and ensure they are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications, while maintaining the highest level of Health and Safety throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires managing technical projects with high collaboration across DPS Group departments to oversee personnel, budgets, and project planning, aiming to meet project expectations and minimize Health & Safety, Financial, or Technical risks.

As a project and client lead, you will coordinate with all stakeholders involved in the project, interpreting their needs and expectations to ensure successful delivery. Although primarily home/office-based, significant time on-site covering multiple projects will be required.

Some of Your Key Duties Include:

1. Promoting high standards of leadership in HSEQ procedures and ensuring compliance with DPS Group procedures and legal obligations.
2. Assisting in maintaining our Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and other certifications.
3. Acting as the client liaison throughout the project lifecycle, managing expectations from both the client and DPS Group.
4. Collaborating with vendors and across DPS departments, including Automation Process Control, Manufacturing, Installation, and Commissioning.
5. Managing project financials to ensure departmental budgets are adhered to.
6. Building and maintaining positive relationships with customers, serving as the primary contact for technical and implementation aspects.
7. Developing technical specifications and Health and Safety documentation for subcontractor works, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
8. Creating and updating project plans using Microsoft Project in collaboration with clients and department managers.
9. Managing project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
10. Completing training to a high standard and maintaining personal development.
11. Reporting incidents, accidents, or near misses promptly and assisting with HSEQ documentation.

What Do You Need?

* Electrical, Electronic, Control Systems, or Mechatronics degree qualification or equivalent experience with recognized apprenticeship.
* Experience delivering EC&I projects.
* Stakeholder management experience.
* ECS H&S card (preferred).
