Overview
My client is a wet wipe manufacturer in the Somerset area who is looking to increase their engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a wide array of Process, Converting and Packaging equipment in a Double Day based role in the heart of Somerset.
We are looking to recruit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to work as part of the Engineering team, reporting to the Engineering Supervisor. This is a two shift engineering position 6am-2:15pm and 2pm-10:15 am Mon -Friday.
The position will require a proactive, can do attitude.
Salary - £46,000
Duties
* Plan and carry out Reactive and Planned Preventative Maintenance on site
* Resolving Day to Day Issues
* Stock Management and Sourcing of Spare Parts as Required
* Continuous Improvement on Existing and New Equipment
* Basic DIY Tasks as Required
Experience/ Qualifications
* A qualified and experienced Multi Skilled Engineer with experience in the Converting and Packaging, FMCG Industry
* Good engineering disciplines and controls and a good knowledge of engineering, health and safety standards, legislation and regulations.
* Engineering qualification – HNC / NVQ
* Knowledge of CAD systems would be an advantage
* Good communication skills.
* Ability to make decisions using own initiative.
* Ability to fault find and read drawings, Electrical (PLC's) and Mechanical (Pneumatics)
* Excellent problem solver who is proactive in recommending and implementing actions to solve issues and improve ways of working.
