We are now looking to expand our team and are seeking an officed based Logistics Co-ordinator to join our dynamic and customer-focused workforce.
Role Overview:
As a Logistics Co-ordinator, you will be the primary point of contact for customers and drivers, ensuring that deliveries and collections are completed on time and to the highest standards. This role requires a keen problem-solver who can effectively manage logistics operations, communicate seamlessly with the team, and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure all collections and deliveries are completed within the scheduled timeframe.
* Provide customers with regular updates on the status of their shipments.
* Address customer and driver queries promptly and professionally.
* Collaborate with the team to facilitate smooth transitions and effective handovers.
* Perform administrative tasks to support the efficient delivery of services.
* Accurately enter data into our internal systems and ensure all job bookings and communications are handled efficiently.
* Communicate with customers, drivers, and hauliers via phone and email.
* Maintain regular contact with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and identify new business opportunities within their organisations.
* Actively seek out new business leads and develop relationships with potential clients.
* Adapt to changing priorities and handle unforeseen circumstances with ease.
* Manage multiple shipments simultaneously, ensuring all deadlines are met and service levels are maintained.
What We're Looking For:
* GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade 4/C or above).
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
* Strong knowledge of the UK road network.
* A minimum of 1 year's experience in a busy transport or logistics office environment.
* Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously while adhering to deadlines.
* Strong relationship-building skills with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
* A proactive, results-driven approach with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
* Self-motivated and committed to achieving excellence in all tasks.
* Comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

You have excellent communication skills and experience working with Microsoft Office tools.
