We would love to tell you about an opportunity that has just arisen for an experienced Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist to join our fantastic team here in Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership (CCICP). The job itself will be based in our East Cheshire locality, and will provide opportunities predominantly to work in clinic settings. You will work alongside colleagues to implement Speech and Language therapy for children and young people of pre-school and school age and be well supported alongside our excellent team of therapists across the patch, as well as an experienced team leader.
Responsibilities
* Complete standardised assessments and evidence based intervention in a variety of settings.
* Implement evidence based practice within the service.
* Work alongside education colleagues, parents and other members of the MDT to contribute towards outcomes being achieved.
* Be involved in the training programme offered by the service to promote a Universal, Targeted and Specialist tiered service.
* Participate in the EHCP process - both in regard to statutory assessments and annual reviews.
* Contribute to peer review groups to promote CPD.
* Provide supervision and support to Band 5 Speech and Language Therapists, Therapy Assistants, and Students.
* Provide assessment, diagnosis and appropriate therapy as per RCSLT 'Communicating Quality 3'.
* Manage a defined caseload independently.
* Prioritise tasks with minimal support.
* Determine when to discontinue management of a client and notify relevant professionals and carers.
* Seek clinical support and advice from more senior clinicians as necessary.
* Collaborate with agencies and colleagues to ensure comprehensive client management, including statutory reports and annual reviews.
* Provide information, advice and support to clients and carers.
* Give and request second opinions when appropriate.
* Attend multi-disciplinary meetings as required.
* Follow the guidance of senior clinicians on current practice.
* Place Speech and Language Therapy students appropriately.
* Supervise assistants and volunteers as required.
* Support newly qualified Speech and Language Therapy students.
* Participate in innovative practice development with senior clinicians.
* Engage in activities designed to improve service effectiveness.
* Develop clinical expertise with guidance from senior clinicians.
* Stay current with clinical and technological advances.
* Provide training to others.
