We're seeking driven, enthusiastic professionals to drive new business within our commercial partnerships and delegates teams, selling across the SportsPro events and media portfolio to key stakeholders in the sports business industry. The Role: As a Business Development Executive, your primary objective is to maximise revenue through new business acquisition, leveraging our industry-leading audience and market position. Depending on experience, within our commercial team of 12, you'll either sit within the partnerships or delegates team to drive the growth of the business. Fundamentally, this role is about solving problems and creating opportunities for individuals and companies who should be attending or partnering with our events and media channels. Requirements: Demonstrable track record of inner-drive, hunger, and motivation to exceed activity and revenue targets. Proven success in significant new business wins in B2B sales, preferably in exhibition, conference, and media sales. Ability to identify and capitalise on business opportunities. Knowledge of the sports industry is desirable. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to thrive in a target-oriented environment. Strong presentation and proposal writing abilities and excellent telephone manner. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Responsibilities: Utilise your end-to-end sales experience to maximise revenue through effective sales techniques, both over the phone and face-to-face. Exceed activity targets (calls, emails, meetings) demonstrating drive and discipline in prospecting and engaging with clients. Independently research leads using online search facilities, social media, and competitor insights. Exceed agreed KPIs and revenue targets to drive the team's growth. Develop strong relationships with key decision-makers and effectively negotiate terms with clients and agencies. Attend industry events to network and identify new growth areas. Ensure meticulous sales administration, updating the HubSpot database promptly and accurately.
