Legal Cashier | Full Time | Office Based | Walsall A well-established law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join its Finance Team at its Head Office in Walsall. This is a full-time, office-based role working Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm. The Role You will play a key role in supporting the firm’s financial operations and ensuring full compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules. This position requires at least 2–3 years’ experience as a Legal Cashier within a law firm. Key Responsibilities
* Receiving client payments (in person and by telephone) and issuing receipts
* Monitoring HSBCnet for incoming funds and allocating to client ledgers
* Preparing and banking daily receipts
* Posting receipts and payments to client and office ledgers
* Preparing Priority and BACS payments
* Processing cheque requests via the Case Management System
* Preparing client ledger breakdowns and time reports
* Checking completion statements
* Processing client and purchase ledger invoices
* Preparing payment runs
* Producing weekly new matter reports for Heads of Department
* Providing support and cover within the Finance Team when required
About You
* 2–3 years’ experience as a Legal Cashier in a law firm
* Strong knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* High attention to detail
* Strong Excel and general IT skills
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Team player with a proactive approach
