Automation Maintenance Engineer – Leeds Mail Centre, Leodis Way, Stourton, Leeds, LS10 1AZ.

* Salary: £53,195 per annum, plus night shift allowance.
* 26.5 days annual leave (22.5 days plus bank holidays).
* Defined contribution pension scheme.
* Weekend supplement: £53.14 per Saturday attendance and £106.28 per Sunday attendance.
* Permanent contract, full time (40 hours per week).
Working Hours and Attendance
* 12‑hour shifts on a rota basis covering days, nights and weekends.
* Shift rotation system with some voluntary flexibility for 24/7 operational needs.
* Voluntary overtime coverage and occasional shift pattern flexibility may be required.
Responsibilities
* Keep automation assets performing at their best through preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance.
* Drive continuous improvement projects from concept to implementation.
* Collaborate with the Engineering Manager and team leaders, completing reports and logging faults.
* Diagnose and resolve automation breakdowns quickly to keep operations flowing.
* Monitor performance and work with stakeholders to boost output.
* Take ownership of Continuous Improvement projects focused on enhancing machinery performance in the Hub/Mail Centre.
Qualifications
* Qualified in electrical and mechanical engineering (minimum ONC Electrical Engineering / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
* Experience in maintaining automation equipment, ideally with PLC knowledge.
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation.
* Proactive team player who can also work independently.
* Full UK manual driving licence (for occasional travel to other sites).
