Job Title: Complex Care Support Worker Location: Newcastle upon Tyne Salary: £14.50 - £15.50 per hour, weekly pay Friday Job Type: Bank Staff (Flexible Hours) Essentials: PEG feeding trained and experience with these clients. Also, must drive (own vehicle) About the Role: As a Complex Care Support Worker, you will provide essential care to individuals with a range of complex physical and mental health conditions, helping them to live as independently as possible. You will be supporting clients with conditions such as brain injury, spinal injuries, stroke, and other neurological or physical conditions. Your role will include but is not limited to: • Personal Care: Assisting with daily tasks such as washing, dressing, and feeding. • Clinical Care: Supporting with medication administration, monitoring vital signs, and maintaining accurate care records. • Promoting Independence: Encouraging clients to be as independent as possible in their daily lives and into the community • Emotional Support: Offering companionship and emotional reassurance to individuals and their families. • Collaborative Care: Working closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care plans. About You: To be considered for this role, you will ideally have: • 12 months experience in a complex care setting, particularly with individuals with neurological or physical conditions. • Must be PEG feeding trained, or experience with PEG feeding individuals • NVQ level 2 or 3 in Health and Social care • A willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and nights, on a bank basis. • Must be a car driver with access to a vehicle, as some clients may require transportation to appointments or activities. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • A caring and empathetic approach, with a strong desire to help others.
