The Landing Gear Market specializes in the design, qualification, manufacture and repair and overhaul of landing gears and flight critical components to a customer base that extends from the OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to the Operators in both the commercial and military markets.
Summary of position:
Job Purpose:
To carry out non-destructive testing (NDT) on aerospace components and assemblies to ensure compliance with stringent industry standards and airworthiness requirements, without compromising the integrity of the parts.
Main responsibilities:
•Perform NDT inspections using approved methods such as Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT), Penetrant Testing (PT)
•Interpret and evaluate results in accordance with aerospace standards EASA Part, AS0, NADCAP). ASTMEI MPI + ASTM E 7 Liquid Penetrant Testing.
•Ensure all inspections are carried out in line with customer specifications, OEM requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
•Maintain accurate inspection records and generate detailed reports for traceability and audit purposes.
•Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conformances.
•Maintain NDT equipment in accordance with internal procedures and manufacturer guidelines.
•Participate in internal and external audits NADCAP, CAA).
•Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure continuous improvement and compliance.
Qualifications:
•Level 2 NDT certification–in accordance with NAS / EN 9 preferred.
•Strong understanding of aerospace materials, manufacturing processes, and defect identification.
•Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and NDT procedures.
•High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
•Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
•Proficient in computer systems for reporting and documentation.
