This apprenticeship with Porsche provides a unique opportunity to learn about vehicle parts management and customer service within the automotive industry. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about automobiles, with a keen interest in parts identification, inventory management, and providing exceptional customer support.

* Learn to identify and locate automotive parts using electronic catalogues, manuals, and computer systems
* Assist customers in-person, over the phone, and via email to fulfil their parts requirements and inquiries
* Collaborate with service technicians and mechanics to ensure accurate parts ordering and timely delivery
* Receive, inspect, and organise incoming parts shipments, ensuring accuracy and quality control
* Maintain inventory levels by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, and placing replenishment orders as needed
* Utilise point-of-sale systems to process transactions, generate invoices, and manage customer accounts
* Provide product recommendations, technical advice, and pricing information to customers as needed
* Handle customer complaints and concerns professionally, striving to achieve satisfactory resolutions
* Uphold company policies and procedures regarding parts sales, returns, and exchanges
* Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance product knowledge, customer service skills, and industry awareness
* Conduct risk assessments within the working environment
* Apply safe working practices in line with associated health and safety legislation and company policy
* Receive products in line with organisational procedures
* Store and pick products in line with organisational procedures
* Dispatch products in line with organisational procedures
* Decant, pack products in line with organisational procedures
* Communicate with others verbally, for example internal and external customers, colleagues, and managers
* Communicate in writing with others, for example internal and external customers, colleagues and managers
* Load and unload products, considering the product that is to be moved and its current and planned destination
* Use tools and equipment to aid in product handling
* Use information technology and digital systems. Comply with GDPR and cyber security
* Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements
* Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts
* Support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product
* Identify and elevate problems beyond own responsibility
* Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance. Segregate resources for reuse, recycling and disposal
* Follow equity, diversity and inclusion rules
* Carry out and record learning and development activities
* Conduct handover activities


Training schedule: Supply Chain Warehouse Operative Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard

* The programme typically lasts 12‑14 months depending on the career path chosen and you'll achieve a nationally recognised qualification
* All of our apprentices are employed through the Dealer Network and attend week‑long block training at our state‑of‑the‑art Porsche Training Centre in Slough
* Block training is complemented by a combination of regular coaching visits from one of our experienced coaches as well as Virtual Classroom sessions and E‑Learning modules
* Please ensure you have copies of your GCSE, Scottish National (if applicable), and Functional Skills certificates, as we may request to see them during the application process. There are lots of opportunities to develop your career within our expanding Dealer Network
* Your early development is carefully mapped through your apprenticeship journey with your learning focussed toward achieving an industry‑recognised qualification that's recognised across the motor industry
* This is the grounding for your future development within the network and opportunities exist once qualified to further develop your skills and to move into new roles

£15,704 for your first year, then could increase depending on your age. National Minimum Wage rate for apprentices. Check minimum wage rates (opens in new tab). Training course Supply chain warehouse operative (level 2) Hours Monday - Friday, 8.30am - 5.30pm. All learners will be required to work the minimum apprenticeship hours per week. At least 20% of your working hours will be allocated to off‑the‑job training. 40 hours a week Start date Monday 2 March 2026 Duration 1 year 3 months.
