We are delighted to be working in partnership with a lovely, welcoming primary school in Darlington who are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic and committed Key Stage 2 Teacher to join their team on a full-time maternity cover basis starting in January.

The Role:
As the Key Stage 2 Teacher, you will:
* Take full responsibility for planning, preparing and delivering engaging and creative KS2 lessons in line with the national curriculum
* Adapt lessons and learning resources to meet the needs of all pupils, including those requiring additional support
* Create a positive, structured and supportive classroom environment that promotes effective learning and positive behaviour
* Work closely with teaching assistants, senior leaders and wider support staff to ensure the best outcomes for pupils
* Support pupils with a range of learning needs in an inclusive and nurturing way
* Collaborate effectively with therapists and other professionals where appropriate
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
* Have proven experience teaching Key Stage 2 – essential
* Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) – desirable
o Particularly experience with Autism and ADHD
* Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
* Have a caring, patient, flexible and proactive approach to teaching
