We are seeking a highly motivated, focused, deadline driven individual with a high attention to detail for the role of Assistant Management Accountant. The individual will be organised, with strong interpersonal skills and a professional manner. The successful candidate will work closely with the Finance Manager within a finance team of 8, assisting with the preparation of regular financial reports and management accounts.

Responsibilities
* Assist the Finance Manager in the preparation of month‑end management accounts and other regular financial performance reports.
* Prepare regular cash‑flow forecasts.
* Carry out monthly bank reconciliations.
* Prepare and analyse budget holder reports.
* Prepare accruals and prepayments.
* Maintain fixed assets register.
* Reconcile balance sheets.
* Assist in preparation of VAT returns.
* Post transactions to SAGE 50 and the job‑costing system.
* Prepare regular reports from the job‑costing system.
* Support purchase invoice entry as required.
* Support the Finance Manager with new systems integration (CMap).
* Develop efficient processes and contribute to system improvements.
Skills and Qualifications
* AAT qualified (or in progress) / QBE.
* Experience in a similar role.
* Proficiency with Sage.
* Six GCSE grades 9‑5, including grade 6 or above for English and Maths (or equivalent).
* A‑levels.
* Excel experience.
* Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
* Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently.
* Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
* Commercial awareness.
