Salary : Grade 6, Point 6 - 9: £20,844 - £21,859 per annum (subject to experience) Contract : Permanent, 34.5 hours per week, 39 weeks of the year (term time plus inset days) We are seeking a highly organised and professional School Administrator to join our busy and friendly school office. This is a varied and rewarding role at the heart of the school, supporting staff, students, and families while ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of administrative systems. You will provide high-quality reception and administrative support, coordinate key school processes, and contribute to delivering a positive and welcoming experience for all visitors. The successful candidate will: Provide front-of-house reception support, acting as a first point of contact for visitors, students, and parents. Manage the school office email inbox and telephone enquiries. Support the organisation of school events, including parents’ evenings, open evenings, and trips. Coordinate Year 6 transition processes and admissions administration. Assist with school trips, visits, and event logistics. Manage conference centre bookings and lettings. Provide administrative support to year teams, senior leaders, and wider staff. Maintain accurate manual and electronic records, including the school MIS. Support attendance, admissions, and student data processes. Assist with financial administration, including purchase orders, invoices, and ParentPay. Coordinate staff cover and transport arrangements where required. They will also play a key role in supporting exam access arrangements, including: Coordinating assessment referrals and maintaining evidence. Liaising with the SENCo, teachers, and parents. Preparing resources for students requiring support in exams. Ensuring compliance with JCQ regulations and maintaining audit-ready records. We are looking for someone who: Holds an NVQ Level 2 in Administration (or equivalent experience). Has GCSE English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above). Has strong IT skills, including experience with Microsoft Office and administrative systems. Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with staff, students, parents and visitors. Is highly organised, able to manage competing priorities, and work both independently and as part of a team. Can maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times. Previous experience working in a school environment would be desirable but is not essential.
