Do you have an eye for detail and experience working with materials in a laboratory or quality control environment? Do you enjoy a structured routine but like to be part of a supportive team where your contribution matters? This is an excellent opportunity to work part-time (20-25 hrs) and join a growing business in a modern, purpose-built lab, helping to ensure the quality of products used by thousands of people every day. Our Client Our client is the UKs leading contractor for road marking, surface treatment products and specialist services, manufacturing high-quality materials for the highways sector. The Role Working in a brand-new, purpose-built laboratory, youll play a key role in ensuring products meet strict quality standards. While some tasks are routine, youll also get involved in supporting product development and continuous improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities include: Performing quality control (QC) testing on manufactured products Supporting product investigations and customer feedback processes Assisting with calibration of laboratory equipment and maintaining quality standards Helping to evaluate raw materials and support product development Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised laboratory environment Ensuring tasks are completed accurately, safely, and on time Occasionally joining site visits as required About You Were looking for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and has experience in a quality control or materials laboratory setting. Youll be thorough, methodical and comfortable following established processes, but also open to learning and contributing new ideas. Youll bring: Several years laboratory experience in a materials field or similar discipline Ideally, A-levels in chemistry, physics, or equivalent Sound technical aptitude and analytical skills Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Confidence working independently as well as part of a team Computer literacy plus clear written and verbal communication A full driving licence Whats on Offer Part-time, permanent role (2025 hrs/wk) full-time also considered Salary up to £27k FTE depending on experience Lab-based role in Milton Keynes 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Training opportunities and ongoing professional development Death-in-service cover Free on-site parking Auto-enrolment pension scheme Health Care Cash Plan, including 24/7 GP access Mental health and wellbeing support Discounts on major retailers If youre looking for a role where routine brings clarity and you can be part of a friendly, collaborative team, wed love to hear from you.
