Direct Tax Manager – 12-month Fixed Term Contract

A bit about the job:
This is a key role in our Direct Tax team and ensures our tax returns, reporting and compliance are delivered accurately and on time, supporting Aviva’s duty to meet regulatory and business expectations.
You’llbring clear, practical tax insight that helps colleagues across the organisation make informed decisions and manage tax risk responsibly. Your work will strengthen our tax governance by shaping policies, improvingprocessesand overseeing key tax initiatives that support Aviva’slong termgrowth.You’llcollaborate with internal teams and external advisers to keep us aligned with tax laws, industry bestpracticeand emerging developments. Andyou’llplay a vital role in developing the tax team, building their confidence and capability so they can grow with the business.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
* Strong experience managing direct tax compliance, taxreportingand tax planning ideally withing the Financial Services industry.
* Skilled at working with auditors,advisersand regulatory partners.
* Strong technical tax and accounting knowledge, supported by a recognised UK tax and/or accounting qualification (e.g. CTA, ATT, ACA or equivalent).
* A collaborativeproblemsolverwith the ability to communicate complex tax matters in clear, simple language.
* Confident taking ownership and deliveringaccurate,highqualitywork in a fastpacedenvironment.

* Salary circa £60,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
