Description
Permanent contract - Part time/3 days a week, 52 weeks per year. To work with the Curriculum and Apprenticeship Managers to deliver a high-quality Construction in the Built Environment curriculum including classroom/workshop theory and practical teaching.

Key Responsibilities
* Deliver learning of a range of units on the BTEC Nationals and Higher Nationals Construction / Construction in the Built Environment / Civil Engineering programmes using appropriate teaching methods.
* Produce schemes of work, lesson plans, assessment plans, learning materials and any other related activities that impact on the effectiveness of learning.
* Plan and deliver specialist sessions using appropriate teaching methods whilst embedding the promotion of diversity within the Built Environment/Civil Engineering Sector, and the College.
* Co-ordinate and maintain records of formative and summative assessments of students’ learning carried out by the course team.
* Work pro-actively to forward the success and vision of the department
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* Level 2 (e.g. GCSE) English and Maths at Grade B or above
* Degree in Construction or HND in Construction/Civil Engineering
* TAQA Assessor Award (or willing to work towards)
* Teaching Qualification (or willing to work towards)
* Safeguarding & Prevent Level 1 certificate or willingness to work towards this
