We are currently seeking an experienced Receptionist / Administrator to join a busy and supportive healthcare environment. This is a key front-facing role, ideal for someone confident, organised, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting.
The successful candidate will play an integral part in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of administrative and reception services, supporting both service users and clinical teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Managing appointment bookings and scheduling
* Handling incoming calls and responding to enquiries in a professional manner
* Taking and relaying messages accurately
* Processing prescriptions and relevant documentation
* Preparing and issuing clinical forms (e.g. referrals, tests, imaging)
* Managing incoming and outgoing post, including scanning and filing
* Registering new service users and maintaining accurate records
* Supporting with referrals and general administrative tasks
* Opening and closing the premises in line with shift patterns
About You:
* Previous experience within a healthcare or busy administrative setting is essential
* Familiarity with clinical systems (e.g. SystmOne, EMIS, Accurx) would be advantageous
* Confident communicator with a professional and approachable manner
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
* Able to manage sensitive and confidential information appropriately
* Comfortable working under pressure and prioritising workload effectively
* A team player with a positive and flexible approach
Additional Information:
* Flexibility is required to support cover for annual leave and sickness, sometimes at short notice
* Participation in team meetings and training sessions may occasionally fall outside standard hours
Working Hours:
Full-time, typically aligned to service operating hours (shift patterns may apply)
