Peak Support is seeking a Data Warehouse Architect to join our team in the Philippines.
Reporting to the Director of Enterprise Applications & Data, the Data Warehouse Architect will play a crucial role in the delivery, management, and implementation of data platforms, applications, and solutions that support internal teams and clients within a complex, high-growth, multinational environment. This position will focus on architecting and building the data warehouse in Azure Synapse and creating data pipelines in Azure Data Factory.
This position is ideal for a hands-on professional with extensive experience in Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, and MSSQL, capable of leading data platform development while ensuring high standards of performance, security, and reliability. You will have the opportunity to shape data architecture and solutions for a growing organization, driving innovation while maintaining a focus on business and technical needs.
Responsibilities include:
1. Data Platform Architecture & Development:
* Architect and build scalable, efficient, and reliable data warehouses in Azure Synapse.
* Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
* Lead in developing solutions for data collection, processing, and storage aligning with business goals.
1. Database Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
* Monitor database performance, identify, and resolve bottlenecks.
* Implement indexing, query optimization, and partitioning as needed.
1. Backup and Disaster Recovery:
* Perform regular backups and test for recoverability.
* Manage data restoration during disasters to minimize downtime.
1. Data Security and Integrity:
* Implement security measures such as access controls, encryption, and auditing.
* Ensure data integrity through validation, conflict resolution, and consistency maintenance.
1. Database Troubleshooting:
* Resolve complex database issues to ensure minimal business disruption.
1. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
* Work with IT leadership and business partners to translate needs into technical solutions.
1. Cloud Platform Administration:
* Follow best practices for Azure cloud environment management.
* Support ongoing platform health and performance.
1. Documentation and Training:
* Document data platforms, ETL processes, and security protocols clearly.
* Lead training sessions for technical and non-technical team members.
1. Innovation and Continuous Improvement:
* Explore and implement new technologies to enhance data platform efficiency.
* Promote agile development, testing, and integration practices.

Requirements:
* 6+ years in MSSQL development, preferably in Azure.
* 4+ years in MSSQL database administration, with at least 2 years in Azure administration.
* 4+ years with Azure BI solutions, including Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Functions, and DevOps; experience with Microsoft Fabric is a bonus.
* 3+ years in Data Warehousing, especially Azure Synapse.
* 3+ years in Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
* Experience with API integrations and system service integrations.
* Proficiency in .NET C# coding, with additional skills in Windows services and web development a plus.
* Experience in outsourced contact center/BPO environments is desirable.
* Knowledge of consumption-based services (PaaS, SaaS, IaaS).
* Proven data engineering experience, including building data warehouses, marts, and pipelines.
* Deep understanding of cloud-first platform enablement, APIs, and microservices in Azure.
* Strong organizational, analytical, and detail-oriented skills.
