Position Summary
As an Electronics Test Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the setup, commissioning, and support of production test rigs for Engine Control systems. This role encompasses a diverse range of responsibilities, including test rig design, software development, fault diagnostics, and equipment validation through advanced data analysis techniques.
Summary
* Start date: ASAP
* Duration: 6 months with potential to be extended
* Location: Marston Green, Birmingham
* Pay Rate: Negotiable
* Hours: 37 per week - Monday to Friday either 7-3 or 8-4
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the Asset Care team to ensure test equipment is available, compliant, and calibrated.
* Develop, modify, and validate innovative test rigs.
* Maintain and enhance various software standards (e.g., NI TestStand, LabView, LabWindows, C, C#).
* Diagnose issues and test failures related to test software/hardware, controls, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems.
* Produce technical reports capturing data analysis and justifications for approval.
Requirements
* Relevant engineering degree or equivalent industry experience.
* Proven experience in test engineering and programming, with a strong background in electronics.
* A methodical approach with the ability to document and present findings effectively to stakeholders.
* Excellent teamwork skills, combined with the ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
* Strong written, reporting, and communication skills.
* Awareness of HS&E regulations related to Test Equipment.
