Description
We’re looking for a reliable and practical Maker / Artist’s Assistant to join our studio in North-East London.
The role involves working closely on the production of sculptural and installation works made from industrially produced and found ceramics. This is a hands-on, practical role suited to someone with a craft or making background such as ceramics, glass, model making, or sculpture who has a strong eye for detail and takes pride in the quality and care of their work.
The work includes handling and assembling thousands of components to create large-scale artworks. Many tasks are repetitive and detail-focused, requiring patience, accuracy, and consistency. While the focus of the work varies, the right person will enjoy the rhythm and satisfaction of making something with care and precision.
Although much of the work is hands-on and process-driven, you’ll also be involved in the creative process within the studio. We work collaboratively, and input from everyone is welcome — this role offers the opportunity to contribute ideas and be part of a small team where every voice is valued. We’re looking for someone who can grow within the role over time, taking on more responsibility and becoming an integral part of the studio’s ongoing projects and future direction.
