Overview
St. Osmund’s C.E. Middle School is seeking to appoint a skilled classroom teacher to cover a maternity leave for two terms. The role involves teaching the KS2 primary curriculum to Years 5 and 6 from January 2026 to August 2026. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality lessons that meet the KS2 curriculum requirements for Years 5 and 6.
* Support the school’s Christian ethos and values of hope, community, respect and love.
* Contribute to a safe school environment where pupils and staff feel a sense of belonging.
* Collaborate with colleagues to plan, assess and improve pupil outcomes.
* Engage with the school’s diversity, inclusion and behaviour policies to secure positive learning.
* Support and contribute to Eco-Schools initiatives and to the school’s resources and facilities.
* Uphold positive relationships and a collaborative working culture to enable all pupils to achieve their potential.
Qualifications and Experience

Role Details
The school invites visits by appointment with the Head of School. Planned tours are on Tuesday 9 September at 4pm, Thursday 11 September at 9am, Friday 12 September at 1:50pm, Friday 19 September at 9am and 1:50pm. An information pack is available via the Recruitment pack.
