Youll be part of a caring team in a small, welcoming supported living home in Abingdon. We currently have relief positions available, and youll need a UK manual driving license to accompany our young men on outings. As a Relief Worker, youll fill shifts to support our team during times of absence, ensuring the needs of both our residents and your own work-life balance are met. Rotas are usually planned one month in advance, with additional opportunities available as needed. Your Day in the Life: Youll have the rewarding opportunity to support three wonderful young men—Ben, Joe, and Gary—in their daily lives. Heres a bit about them: Ben : Full of energy and humor, Ben loves swimming, train rides, and shopping. Hes always looking for someone to share in his adventures! Joe : A music enthusiast who knows what he likes. If you share his passion for music, youll enjoy creating fun moments together. Gary : A gentle spirit who loves horses, nature, and art. IND About you If you are the right person for the role, if you are kind, caring, active and eager to make a difference to peoples lives, we will provide you with the training you need. We sometimes find people with an interest in psychology do well in this role, or perhaps youre considering a specialist career supporting autistic people and people with learning disabilities. You will need a manual driving licence (the men have their own cars). Youll be a ‘people person, creative, flexible and have bucket loads of initiative and great resilience. If you have little or no previous experience in care, we still want to hear from you! we will provide you with an extensive care training package whilst you are getting to know and work with these amazing young men.
