Job Title: Full-Time Learning Support Assistant

Pay: £89.38 - £95 per day
Contract: Full-time, Monday to Friday

We’re working with welcoming schools in Romford who are looking for a full-time Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with SEND on a consistent, long-term basis. This isn’t a stop-gap role. It’s about being a familiar face, a steady presence, and a key part of a child’s school journey.

What your days will look like
* 1:1 support for pupils with SEND, helping them feel safe, supported, and ready to learn
* Working closely with teachers to bring individual education plans to life in the classroom
* Guiding and encouraging pupils through lessons, activities, and routines
* Calm, positive behaviour support, including de-escalation when things feel tricky
* Building strong relationships with staff, families, and external professionals
* Creating an inclusive classroom where every child feels they belong
This is a hands-on, meaningful role where your presence really matters. You’ll see progress, build trust, and make a difference that lasts.
What you’ll need
* The right to work in the UK
* A valid DBS, or willingness to apply
* Experience supporting children with special educational needs
* A flexible, patient approach and the ability to adapt to different learning styles
* Plenty of empathy and a genuine passion for supporting young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
