Midday Supervisor – Complex Needs Specialist School
Prospero Teaching is recruiting for a number of caring and reliable Midday Supervisors to join a vibrant all‑age special school in Poole. The school supports pupils aged 2-19 with Complex Learning Difficulties and Disabilities (CLDD), physical disabilities, sensory needs and life‑limiting conditions.
This is a rewarding opportunity to play an important role in pupils’ wellbeing, safety and enjoyment during the lunchtime period.
About the Role
As a Midday Supervisor, you will work as part of a supportive team to ensure pupils are safe, cared for and positively engaged throughout lunch and play.
You will:
1. Support pupils’ wellbeing during lunch and outdoor/indoor play
2. Provide daily care and supervision in line with school policies
3. Encourage positive social interaction, communication and independence
4. Assist pupils with personal care routines where required
5. Help create a calm, safe and nurturing lunchtime environment
6. Work collaboratively with staff to meet a wide range of complex needs
7. Feed children with significant and complex needs
8. To assist pupils with the proper use of cutlery and drinking utensils

Contract Details
17. Location: Poole
18. Position: Midday Supervisor
19. Hours: hours per week
20. Working Pattern: Monday-Friday, 11:50am – 1:20pm, term‑time only
21. Contract: Part‑time, term‑time
22. Start Date: September 2026 or ASAP
23. Pay: From £ per hour

Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must:
29. Hold the Right to Work in the UK
30. Have an enhanced child‑barred list DBS on the Update Service, or be willing to apply
31. Provide references covering the last 24 months
