Job Summary:
Altus Group is hiring Graduate Surveyors across multiple offices including Manchester, Nottingham, Birmingham, Dartford, Heathrow, London, Reigate, and Bristol. The successful candidates will join teams with lease consultancy, investor services, and business rates surveyors. As a Graduate Surveyor, you will actively participate in property inspections, research, and support senior surveyors. No prior commercial or valuations experience is necessary; a passion for commercial real estate is sufficient — we will teach you the rest! You will receive mentorship and comprehensive training covering property referencing, valuation, lease consultancy, and business rates legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct property inspections and measurements
2. Manage client cases
3. Assist surveyors in evidence collation
4. Prepare assessment reports and gather evidence for business rates appeals
5. Formulate appeals
6. Maintain company records and databases
7. Communicate effectively with clients, both written and verbally
8. Provide excellent client service, fostering positive relationships and resolving issues
9. Achieve team KPIs and contribute to the overall success of the team and Altus
Key Qualifications:
* University degree, preferably in Real Estate or a related property field
* Full driving license and access to a vehicle (not essential for central London)
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Team player mentality
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
* High attention to detail
