What you’ll do (the role)
SUMMARY
As the Senior Vice President of Sales and Business Development, you will spearhead our sales and business development initiatives, focusing on direct sales B2B2C (Channel) reselling and B2B enterprise sales of our platform to various industries. This pivotal role entails leading the development and execution of the company's sales strategy, ensuring the achievement of our ambitious five-year business plan.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES
1. Strategically develop and execute the company’s sales and business development strategy to meet annual sales targets.
2. Lead and motivate the business development and sales teams to achieve and surpass sales goals.
3. Create compelling sales propositions that resonate with and attract customers.
4. Manage and forecast sales pipeline effectively through CRM, ensuring transparency and efficiency.
5. Act as the customer's voice within the product team, influencing product development and strategy.
6. Contribute to the overall strategy and direction of the company, driving growth and innovation.
7. Present sales performance updates at board level, showcasing achievements and strategizing for future growth.
8. Enhance sales process efficiency continuously, leveraging technology and innovative practices.
9. Build and nurture a high-performing sales team capable of scaling the business to new heights.
10. Forge transformational partnerships that significantly boost pipeline and sales growth.
Who we’re looking for
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
11. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
12. Over 10 years of robust experience in sales and business development, with a preference for candidates from the energy management or related industries.
13. Extensive experience in B2B platform sales, channel reselling, and direct to consumer strategies.
14. Exceptional leadership qualities and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and drive teams towards common goals.
15. Proven ability in managing a technical pre-sales function, with a strong understanding of the technical aspects of sales processes.
16. Analytical mindset with stellar problem-solving capabilities.
17. Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
18. A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, facilitating revenue growth.
19. Demonstrated ability to represent sales performance and strategy effectively at the board level.
