Applications Support Lead | Immediate Start


Our client is seeking an experienced Applications Support Lead to join their team as soon as possible. This is a key role, responsible for the technical support and reliable operation of critical business applications, including user support, maintenance planning, and technical coordination.

In this role, you'll lead a team of Application Support Engineers, provide Level 2 and Level 3 support, and act as a trusted escalation point. You’ll also collaborate closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure performance, stability, and ongoing improvement of enterprise applications.


🔧 Key Responsibilities:


* Lead, mentor, and develop the Application Support team.
* Deliver high-quality Level 2/3 technical support for key business applications.
* Manage application lifecycle tasks such as patching, configuration changes, and preventative maintenance.
* Act as the main escalation point for complex issues, ensuring timely resolution.
* Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to coordinate upgrades and planned maintenance.
* Prioritise support tickets and troubleshoot application issues efficiently.
* Maintain and enhance technical and user-facing documentation.
* Contribute to agile sprints and planning cycles as the business-facing application expert.
* Align IT support efforts with broader business goals and roadmaps.


💼 What We’re Looking For:


* Strong leadership and mentoring experience in a technical support environment.
* Proven background in application support (Level 2/3), including troubleshooting, configuration, and performance tuning.
* Experience coordinating with vendors and managing upgrade/maintenance activities.
* Excellent problem-solving skills, with a user-focused and proactive mindset.
* Solid understanding of IT security and patch management best practices.
