This is your chance to step into a key role in the construction materials industry with full support and training. We're looking for a Plant Supervisor to join our team at Heidelberg Materials in Whatley. We will teach you everything you need to know about concrete production and plant operations.
Location: Tiverton, Plymouth or Taunton
Hours: 45 per week
What You'll Be Doing:
* Overseeing the day-to-day running of the concrete plant
* Using computer systems to batch and dispatch concrete
* Speaking with customers and coordinating deliveries
* Supervising contractors and hauliers on-site
* Carrying out routine maintenance and inspections
* Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental standards
* Keeping the site clean, safe, and well-presented
* Operating the batching plant to company standards and maintaining site presentation
* Accurately batching concrete/mortar according to procedures
* Ensuring the plant is stocked with approved materials
* Visually checking stocks weekly and verifying monthly
* Performing routine maintenance and recording actions
