Junior / Estimator Due to continuing growth, we are looking to increase our team with a new position for an additional estimator to assist in the rising number of tender enquiries we are receiving and to develop new clients. As part of the Contracting Department the suitable candidate will be working with current staff across all sectors of this department including Estimating, Contracts and Quality Management. The role will involve but not be limited to the following: Role: Calculatingcostsbasedoninformationprovidedandcreatingdetailedestimates Interpretingplans,specifications,anddrawingstodetermineprojectcosts UsingBluebeamsoftwaretoprovidetake-offs SchedulingandholdingTenderReivewMeetings Using computer based system Evision to log opportunities and update as and when required Loggingoftenders,reviewingdocumentsandsendingouttosuppliersforquotes Followupwithsuppliersonquotereturnstoachievetenderreturndates Liaising with our external designer on tender projects to determine floor slab designs for tendering Followupontendersubmissionsforpositiononsame DocumentControlaspersiteprojectrequirements,submissionofQADocs Loggingofdailyconcretetestingresultsandissuingtoourclients Dataentryandadministration Theabovelistisnotexhaustiveandfulltrainingwillbeprovided Key skills and attributes: Logicalandwellorganisedwithabilitytoprioritise EfficientintheuseofMicrosoftoffice Knowledge of Evision and Bluebeam systems preferrable but not necessary as fulltraining will be provided Excellentcommunicationskillsbothwrittenandverbal Excellentattentiontodetail Goodnumeracyskills Abilitytotakeownershipoftheirdutiesandworkasanindividualoraspartofateam Good commercial skills and awareness Salary: Competitive Salary, depending on experience Annual Leave: 20daysannualleaveplusstatutorypublicholidays Pleasenotethatsomeoftheannualleaveispre-allocatedtocovertheChristmas closure Work Hours: Monday to Thursday 09:00 17:00 & Friday 09:00 15:00 45 minutes lunch break each day Additional Information: WorkplacePensionprovidedthroughWorkersPensionTrust Life insurance cover for all current employees
