Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant – Hatfield Are you a recent graduate, or about to graduate, with a passion for History, Geography, Religious Studies, or another Humanities subject and a desire to pursue a career in education? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic humanities graduate to join a thriving secondary school in Hatfield as a Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant. This full-time, long-term role is ideal for graduates eager to gain valuable experience in a secondary school setting and explore a future career in education. Key Details: Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant – Hatfield Full-time position : Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm during term time Weekly salary : Up to £560 as a Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant Start date : Immediate or September 2025 Support students across Key Stages 3 and 4 in Humanities lessons and intervention groups Collaborate closely with subject teachers and pastoral teams to support student progress and engagement Candidate Requirements - Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant A 2:1 degree or above in a Humanities-related subject (e.g., History, Geography, Religious Studies, Politics, Sociology) A genuine interest in education and supporting secondary school pupils Experience working with young people is desirable but not essential Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills Benefits of the Role: Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant Gain valuable classroom experience in a supportive school environment Structured mentoring and development throughout your placement Excellent preparation for future teacher training programmes In-house teacher training opportunities available from September 2026 About the School: Graduate Humanities Teaching Assistant This inclusive and forward-thinking secondary school in Hatfield is known for its strong academic outcomes and nurturing approach to student development.
