About the Company
Our client is an established organisation operating within the energy and infrastructure sector. They provide specialist services and solutions to support large organisations in managing and optimising their operational performance.
Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Contract Manager to join their team.
The Role
This role sits between the commercial and legal functions and is responsible for ensuring robust contractual frameworks are in place with customers and partners.
The position will focus primarily on commercial negotiation, contract drafting and risk management, with particular involvement in NEC contracts.
You will work closely with internal stakeholders and customers to negotiate and agree contract terms that support commercial objectives while protecting the business from contractual risk.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead commercial negotiations with customers to agree appropriate contractual terms.
* Draft, review and manage contracts with a focus on NEC frameworks.
* Provide commercial and contractual guidance across internal teams.
* Identify and manage contractual risks and ensure appropriate protections are in place.
* Work closely with legal, commercial and operational teams to ensure contracts align with delivery capabilities.
* Support the structuring and negotiation of complex commercial agreements.
* Ensure contractual documentation is accurate, compliant and aligned with company policies.
* Provide advice on contract interpretation and support dispute resolution where required.
About You
Essential:
* Experience managing or negotiating NEC contracts.
* Strong commercial awareness and ability to manage contractual risk.
* Experience negotiating commercial terms with customers or partners.
* Ability to draft and review contracts with minimal supervision.
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
Desirable:
* Legal training or a legal background (qualification not essential).
* Experience within utilities, infrastructure, engineering or technical services environments.
* Experience working with complex service or project contracts.
