Role & responsibilities

Our finance team has a requirement for a new Finance Assistant.

The candidate will be joining a very motivated and dedicated team which thrive on good customer service.

Responsibilities will include

* Perform administrative and clerical tasks, such as data entry, preparing invoices, sending reminders and and contacting customers to discuss their accounts.
* Obtaining information from other departments to ensure records are accurate, complete and up to date.
* Responsible for own ledger ensuring all customers adhere to their payment terms
* Develop relationships with customers, answering any queries concerning their accounts and / or bills
* Generate reports and statements for internal use
* Identify and monitoring customers who pose a financial risk.
* Identifying ways in which the current processes and procedures can be improved

Preferred skills

* AAT Level 2 or similar
* Excellent telephone manner
* Self-motivated
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Computer literate with moderate Excel and strong Outlook skills
* Sage experience preferred
* Excellent attention to detail
* Good at working as part of a team and individually
* Excellent organisational and time management skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Summary

As a Finance Assistant, you will be integral to the financial operations of our organization, reporting directly to the Finance Director. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills to manage financial records and assist with reporting tasks. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Sage, along with AAT qualifications, will enhance your effectiveness in this position. Your ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently will ensure the smooth operation of our finance department, contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to £25,000.00 per year
