As a Lung Clinical Nurse Specialist at Cromwell Hospital, you’ll play a vital role in delivering expert, patient-centred care to individuals diagnosed with lung cancer. You’ll work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care pathways, support patients and families, and contribute to the ongoing development of our lung cancer services.

How you’ll help us make health happen
* Provide specialist nursing care and support to inpatients and outpatients with a lung cancer diagnosis.
* Act as a key worker and advocate for patients, guiding them through their treatment journey and helping them make informed decisions.
* Collaborate with consultants and the wider multidisciplinary team to develop and evaluate personalised care plans.
* Support thoracic surgery inpatients and contribute to the coordination of care across departments.
* Lead on service development initiatives, audits, and quality improvement projects within the lung service.
* Educate and mentor junior staff, sharing your expertise in lung cancer care and supporting professional development.
* Participate in lung MDT meetings and ensure accurate clinical documentation and communication.
* Act as a clinical role model, promoting best practice and upholding regulatory and governance standards.
Key Skills / Qualifications
* Registered General Nurse with a nursing degree.
* Post-registration study in lung or oncology nursing.
* Extensive experience in lung cancer care across inpatient and outpatient settings.
* Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Experience in service development, audit, and education.
* Passionate about delivering high-quality, compassionate care to patients with complex needs.
