Senior Systems Engineer

About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join a dynamic team working on innovative technology projects. This role covers the full systems engineering lifecycle -from concept through to delivery and acceptance. Youll collaborate across multiple disciplines and contribute to the design, integration, and testing of complex systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Participate in all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle.
* Design, integrate, and test systems across software, mechanical, and electrical domains.
* Produce accurate technical documentation, specifications, and reports.
* Provide mentoring support to junior colleagues.
* Engage with customers and stakeholders in a professional, customer-facing capacity.
* Travel as required for project needs.
Essential Requirements
* Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics (or equivalent experience).
* Proven experience in systems design, integration, and test.
* Strong understanding of product lifecycles from concept to delivery.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* UK driving licence and eligibility for UK security clearance.
Desirable Skills
* Knowledge of radar or radio systems.
* Familiarity with communications protocols (RS485, RS232, TCP-IP, CANBus).
* Experience with external verification standards (MIL STD, Def Stan, IEC).
* Hands-on experience with test equipment and fault-finding.
* Professional membership (IET, INCOSE, etc.).
