VANRATH are recruiting a Joiner to work within the Building Maintenance department for a large, leading Construction Company in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
The business operate within the Social Housing sector in Belfast and they are looking for Joiners that have experience in this area ideally. However, they will consider good Joiners that have worked on commercial buildings as well.
Remuneration:
£28,620 + van / fuel / package

General Overview:
Responsible for the repair, maintenance, and installation of joinery components within residential properties managed by the company. This role combines expertise in joinery with skills in general maintenance tasks to ensure properties are structurally sound, aesthetically pleasing, and functional.
Key Accountabilities:
13. Provide a high-quality service, specifically within domestic properties
14. Install and fit joinery components including locks, handles, hinges, and fittings
15. Repair or replace damaged joinery components such as skirting boards, staircases, and kitchen units
16. Installation of fire doors
17. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete assigned work orders within specified timelines
18. Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used
19. Attend all relevant training courses, including all health and safety
20. Ensure van stock is processed and managed accordingly
21. Ensure that your work is carried out the highest quality and within a reasonable amount of time
22. Ensure any additional work is captured and communicated to the relevant person, so that the company can invoice for additional work completed
23. Compliant in timeframes allocated of jobs, ensure target dates are met
24. Compliance with materials / workmanship schedules
25. Ensure areas of work are left clean, tidy and safe at all times
26. Be responsible for and take due care of the company van in accordance with the company car policy
27. Liaison with the client, consultants, contract administrator, head office etc.
28. Be responsible for your own safety and all other around you
The Ideal Person:
29. Relevant trade qualification - NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
30. Valid CSCS/CSR card
31. Relevant on-site experience in similar role
32. Working knowledge of current Health and Safety Legislation
33. Excellent communication skills
34. Excellent customer service skills
35. Ability to demonstrate good teamwork values
36. Full, valid, clean driving license
37. Experience working on Response Maintenance contracts is desirable
