SALARIED GP: 4-8 SESSIONS
We are recruiting for a salaried GP for 4-8 sessions. We are a team of 2 partners, 5 salaried GPs, 1 paramedic, 3 practice nurses and 2 HCAs, support from 3 in-house pharmacists plus a robust admin and reception team and supportive and pro-active management team We have 9100 patients, and our list size is increasing. We are a friendly group of people with regular social events, an annual Christmas party and a dedicated staff common room with catering facilities. We have a keen interest in promoting excellent patient care whilst maintaining and promoting staff welfare.
About the Practice
We are a ‘Good’ CQC rated practice with an active and helpful PPG. Interests of the surgery include teaching medical students and GP Registrars, family planning with a coil and implant service, minor surgery including extended scope procedures (including accepting referrals from other practices with our GPwSI in minor/general surgery). Dermoscopy of skin lesions is also available. We also have an interest in MSK. We look after 4 residential care homes with dedicated time set aside for looking after these patients and care planning. We are an active member of the Soar valley PCN.
About the Area
Mountsorrel is a village located in the Charnwood area of Leicestershire. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside with nearby access to Beacon Hill and Bradgate country parks, plus access to the river Soar which runs through the village. It is a perfect area to live and walk for an active outdoor lifestyle, with opportunities for cross country running/hiking, paddleboarding, kayaking and open water swimming. There are also a number of good primary and secondary schools locally. Access to Leicester, Loughborough, Nottingham and Derby is easy via the A6, A46, and nearby M1. East Midlands airport is also nearby which is very handy for holidays, of which you will be entitled to 6 weeks pro rata plus an additional 1-week study leave!
