The Medical Clinic is led by an exceptional team of doctors and health professionals specialising in Gastroenterology, Functional Health, Women's and Men's Health and Performance Lab for MSK consultations.
JOB SUMMARY
In this pivotal role at Lanserhof at the Arts Club, you will directly support our Head of Medical Services and the medical departments to ensure all medical departments achieve clinical excellence and run smoothly to meet operational demands.
Support the Head of Medical Services to develop clinical governance to be "outstanding" meeting CQC requirements and develop the nursing team ways of working to deliver operational Excellence.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Drive exceptional patient and clinician experience, engagement, and retention to support and drive the commercial success of the business
* Manage and lead the IV infusion suite nursing team and providing leadership in a way that encourages motivation and productivity while maintaining high standards of quality care.
* Deputise for the Head of Medical Services when on annual leave and away from the business.
* You will be a specialist in IV infusions who is caring, compassionate, experienced professional and loves taking care of people and prioritizes communication and engagement. They are expected to be highly competent in venepuncture and cannulation and expected to provide line management to the nursing and healthcare assistant team.
* You will need to hold an independent and supplementary non-medical prescribing qualification, and you will provide leadership on patient centred medicine optimisation and quality improvement whilst contributing to the quality and outcomes framework working alongside other clinicians in the network. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in a patient facing role whereby you would have to take responsibility for areas of antimicrobial prescribing for bacterial illness within your practice.
Supporting the highest quality and governance in all we do
* Support the clinic's Registered Manager in the management of governance delivering your duties with the expected care, attention, duty of candour, and legal requirements at all times.
* Support audit processes, risk assessments, and maintenance schedules, ensuring safe systems of work are in place at all time
* Ensure the teams remain compliant with company policy, operating procedures, and work instructions. Take effective timely action to correct any variances
* Constantly seek ways to improve processes, systems, and communications; strive to achieve an Outstanding CQC rating and other recognitions of excellence from regulatory bodies.
Operational Excellence
* Support the Head of Medical Services with the day-to-day management and safe operations of the clinic to include (but not limited to) bookings, billing, enquiries, clinical services, clinician engagement, stock control/management, clinic diary management, clinical equipment maintenance program, Health and Safety and CQC compliance
* Develop operational staffing to maintain the safe operation of the clinic at all times; recruiting and retaining high calibre staff to meet the needs of the business
* Support team members through all aspects of the employee lifecycle demonstrating dignity, care, and respect at all times. Ensure they maintain competencies and adherence to all regulatory requirements
Service Development
* Work under the guidance of the Head of Medical Services and the Executive Team to identify opportunities to grow services that are in support of the business aims
* Work with the Head of Medical Services to develop business plans in partnership with the finance and leadership teams in support of annual budget processes
Ways of Working
* Share best practice in customer service, consultant engagement, and system process across all sites. Identify opportunities to simplify and automate processes
* Lead on specific change management projects to deliver common standards of working across the busines
* Constantly seek ways to improve processes, systems, and communications; strive to achieve an Outstanding CQC rating and other recognitions of excellence from regulatory bodies
* Participate in and support CPD for all staff, ensuring that competency and mandatory training requirements are met, registrations maintained and work to develop staff to their fullest potential
Lead the delivery of exceptional customer experience to patients, consultants, and visitors
* To be an advocate of high customer care standards and create a positive and proactive approach to customer service throughout all of the medical teams
* Actively seek feedback from patients and service users via customer service surveys and direct feedback
* Demonstrate timely action by the team on the output to improve services
* Seek ways to turn patients, visitors and consultants in to net promoters of the clinic
* Ensure the teams are trained in customer service and are able to identify un-met customer needs and engage positively with service users, visitors and clients.
REQUIREMENTS:
* 8-10 Years Experience as a Lead Nurse ideally within a Private Medical Clinic
* Qualified non-medical prescriber registered with the NMC and legal body (e.g. RCN)
* Excellent venepuncture and cannulation skills
* Strong communication skills, eloquent written and verbal English
* Enthusiastic about working in a varied role, within the healthcare and wellbeing arena
* Outgoing personality with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a multinational team and clientele
* Management experience within a multi-modality department / facility
* Demonstrate commercial awareness within a previous practice or industry
* IT familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
* Ability to lead, motivate, support and develop employees to maximise contribution to business goals and objectives
* Ability to analyse, interpret and make recommendations on data specific to the Facility in order to identify development opportunities, change practice, and influence performance
* Knowledge of the healthcare service sector and the systems and processes used
* Diplomacy skills to enhance client, customer and supplier relations
* Intravenous Nutritional Therapy knowledge and experience
* Previous experience working with high end clientele and VIPs.
