Job Description

My client, a leading international law firm, is seeking an experienced Medical Negligence Solicitor to join its Leeds team on a 12-month fixed-term contract (maternity cover).


For the right candidate, there may be scope for a permanent role at the end of the contract.


Responsibilities


The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a range of high-value and complex cases, including:


* Managing a caseload of serious injury and medical negligence matters
* Drafting legal documents, statements, and reports
* Liaising with clients, experts, and Counsel
* Attending hearings and managing litigation proceedings
* Supervising and supporting junior team members
* Contributing to business development and knowledge sharing within the department


What are they looking for?


* At least 8 years’ PQE in medical negligence or serious injury litigation
* Strong track record in handling complex and high-value cases
* Excellent client care and communication skills, with the ability to support vulnerable clients and their families
* Leadership and supervisory experience
* Commercial awareness and the ability to contribute to business development
* Strong organisational and financial management skills
