Job Summary
We are recruiting for a Senior Risk Consultant to join our growing team at available offices in London, Manchester, Birmingham, or Bristol. In this role, you will implement and advise on Risk Management solutions for major infrastructure projects across a broad range of sectors.
Key Responsibilities
* Engage with project teams to ensure effective implementation of risk management.
* Provide direct risk‑management input to bids and proposals to secure new business.
* Perform risk assurance checks to ensure quality of project and programme risk management.
* Communicate key project and programme risk‑management data to senior leaders.
* Produce comprehensive risk reports for informed decision making.
* Coach and mentor staff in risk‑management best practice.
* Facilitate identification, assessment, and prioritisation of risks.
* Develop robust Risk Registers, Risk Management Plans, and Risk Mitigation Plans.
* Conduct Quantitative Risk Analysis (QCRA and QSRA), utilising techniques such as Monte‑Carlo to establish project contingency levels.
* Design and implement risk‑management frameworks for projects and programmes.
* Support cost, scheduling, project controls and change‑management teams where appropriate.
Qualifications
* 3+ years of experience in risk management, with at least 2 years on high‑value projects.
* Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or a recognised risk‑management qualification (MOR, APM Risk, IRM).
* Proven experience and excellent working knowledge in a multi‑discipline project environment.
* Proficient in the use of industry risk‑management tools (ARM, Xactium, RiskHive, Predict, etc.).
* Demonstrable experience in Quantitative Risk Analysis (QCRA & QSRA) using tools such as Safran, Primavera Risk Analyzer, @Risk.
* Competency in implementing Risk Management processes aligned with ISO 31000, Institute of Risk Management, or Association of Project Management methodologies.
* Flexibility to travel and work in different sectors.
* Good people‑management and task‑facilitation skills.
* Knowledge of engineering and construction management.
* Current knowledge of project‑management methodologies and tools.
