Join our international growth journey. We are looking for an Estimator with a passion for heat exchangers!
We are expanding and seeking an experienced Estimator, who can transform complex customer requirements into accurate and competitive quotations - with a strong focus on heat exchangers and thermal equipment.
In this role, estimating isn’t just numbers. It’s a craft: combining technical insight, attention to detail, and sound engineering judgment to shape proposals that form the foundation of our projects. Because our products are highly specialised and custom-engineered, we are looking for someone who takes pride in precision, problem-solving, and getting it right the first time. Experience in heat exchanger design is a clear advantage and will help you hit the ground running.
If you thrive on turning drawings and specifications into reliable cost models, enjoy collaborating closely with engineering and manufacturing specialists, and want to contribute to high-quality heat-exchanger solutions used across demanding industries, we’d like to hear from you.
What you’ll do
* Translate customer specifications, drawings, and thermal/ mechanical requirements into accurate cost models and quotations.
* Prepare detailed estimates covering materials, fabrication, welding, machining, testing, subcontracting, and logistics for heat exchanger projects.
* Assess manufacturability, technical scope, risks, and margins to ensure competitive and profitable bids.
* Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, and sales teams throughout the quotation and clarification process.
* Support continuous improvement by analysing project outcomes and refining estimating tools and methods.
What we hope you will bring
* Preferably a degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a related discipline).
* 3+ years of experience in estimating or proposals, ideally within heat exchangers, pressure vessels, thermal equipment, or heavy fabrication.
* Background in heat-exchanger design is an advantage.
* Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, bills of materials, and technical specifications.
* Solid understanding of manufacturing processes such as welding, forming, machining, and shop routings.
* Experience with industry standards such as ASME, TEMA, or API is an advantage.
* Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and estimating tools (e.g., Aspen Capital Cost Estimator, Cleopatra).
