Cover Supervisor
Location: Hull
Salary: £99 - £125 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediate or September 2025

About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will be responsible for delivering pre-set work to students during teacher absences and ensuring classroom expectations are upheld. This role requires confidence, initiative, and the ability to manage behaviour effectively.
Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:
Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans provided by absent teachers
Supervise classes across different subjects and year groups as required
Ensure students remain on task and focused during lessons
Promote positive behaviour and apply the school's behaviour policy consistently
Manage classroom transitions and routines smoothly
Maintain a calm, respectful, and professional atmosphere in the classroom
Record pupil attendance and report any issues to senior staff
Provide feedback to teaching staff about lesson delivery and student behaviour
Respond to student queries and support them in understanding the lesson objectives
Uphold safeguarding practices and ensure student welfare at all times
Cover Supervisor (CS) Requirements:
Experience working with young people in an educational or school setting as a Cover Supervisor or similar is desirable
CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistant or Childcare
A degree in Education, psychology or a similar field.
Strong classroom management and communication skills
A calm, confident, and adaptable approach
A genuine interest in education and supporting students’ progress
A degree or equivalent qualification is beneficial
Have an updated CV and an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for one
