There are many opportunities for career progression within NHSBT. We will provide extensive induction and training, along with ongoing development to support your role and help you achieve your career ambitions.
The National Bacteriology Laboratory plays a leading role in transfusion and transplantation microbiology, both nationally and internationally, with close links to the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), universities, and international biomedical companies.
You will be required to perform, analyze, record, and interpret a wide range of specialist and complex bacteriological investigations related to blood and tissue products.
You will be responsible for supporting and training new and less experienced staff.
You will need to handle blood and tissue samples and operate various laboratory analyzers and equipment.
