Job Overview
Responsible for customer service, new business enquiries, mid term adjustments and renewals, in a non-advised environment, across a range of insurance products for UK based NGOs, charity, aid, mission and conservation organisations deploying staff and volunteers overseas
Duties
Provision of customer service including renewal broking activity and premium collection across a portfolio of customers within an FCA regulated business
Issuing new business, mid term adjustment and renewal insurer documentation
Creating broking submissions and negotiating with insurers to deliver customer proposals
Operating insurer delegated authority schemes
A specific focus on creating and maintaining a relationship with the customers, to build an understanding of their wider insurance needs, identifying opportunities for product sales and where appropriate capturing renewal dates
Accountable for annual premium, commission income and renewal targets with an incentive plan in operation
Skills
Experience of insurance broking environment essential
Knowledge of appropriate insurance products preferred – including Commercial, Cyber, Trustee, Professional Indemnity, Event, Group Travel, International Private Medical and Personal Accident
Able to work as part of focused team
Knowledge of insurance policy administration systems – preferably Open GI
Strong oral communicator with excellent negotiation skills
Ability to work to deadlines and targets
Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining a positive mental attitude
