Location: Stoke-on-Trent

Contract: Part-time, with flexible hours

Start Date: September 2026 (for the new 2026/2027 Academic Year)

Want to make a profound impact on a student's life, without sacrificing your own work‑life balance? Randstad is seeking a compassionate Specialist Mentor (Mental Health) to empower university students navigating mental health challenges. This role offers you the opportunity to make a difference whilst being able to enjoy a flexible schedule.


Responsibilities

* Helping students achieve a healthy balance between daily living activities and academic tasks.
* Improving organisational skills, including effective time management.
* Assisting students in preparing for deadlines by breaking down assignments into manageable steps.
* Supporting students in managing stress and anxiety related to their studies or daily life.
* Guiding students in reflecting on their personal and academic experiences.
* Boosting student's confidence by identifying and building upon their existing strengths.
* Maintaining close communication with Randstad and reporting any student concerns promptly.
* Upholding the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.


Requirements

This is a specialist role. You must hold active membership with at least one of the recognised professional organisations at the required level. * High level of empathy and a deep understanding of others needs.
