Planner Engineer
Location: Bridgewater, Somerset
Must have the right to work in the UK.
We are seeking a Project Planner to handle planning duties for the client's Mechanical & Electrical installation works within the turbine hall of the HPC Nuclear New Build Mega Project.
Principal Accountabilities:
1. Develop and maintain schedules for design, engineering, construction, and commissioning phases.
2. Create and update progress databases.
3. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
4. Conduct milestone projections, delay analysis, and float path assessments.
5. Record delays and disruptions.
6. Implement Earned Value Management.
7. Monitor schedule performance and productivity.
8. Verify site progress, incorporating quality assessments.
9. Attend schedule meetings and liaise with clients and subcontractors.
10. Prepare tender schedules and histograms.
11. Lead planning meetings and weekly work planning sessions.
12. Load resources and cash flow into schedules.
13. Provide data for payment applications.
14. Complete contract review reports.
15. Ensure the quality and accuracy of schedules and reports.
16. Identify issues and advise relevant parties on solutions.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
* Strong analytical skills.
* Proficiency in Primavera P6, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
* Ability to work independently, prioritize, and solve problems.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* Experience in construction projects (5+ years).
* Degree in a construction-related field (preferred).
* Advanced MS Excel skills.
* Organizational and project planning expertise.
* Negotiation and problem-solving capabilities.
* Teamwork and initiative.
* Ability to work under strict deadlines.
* Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly team approach.
