Overview
Join our team at M&S as a Customer Assistant in our Foods section, where you'll become a champion of our high-quality products, great value offers, and excellent customer service. We're seeking passionate individuals who take pride in their knowledge of M&S Food products and are excited to share it with our customers. Due to operational requirements, all successful candidates will be asked to work up to full time during the weeks commencing 14th and 21st December.
Work pattern
Sunday: 16:00 - 20:00
Saturday: 16:00 - 20:00
Monday: 18:00 - 22:00
Note: The role may require additional hours during peak periods as described above.
Responsibilities
* Serve our customers efficiently, both on the shop floor and at service points
* Keep the store clean and tidy, ensuring that shelves are stocked with product
* Monitor and deliver on daily sales targets, priorities, promotions and selling opportunities
* Proactively engage with customers to understand their needs, make recommendations and deliver remarkable service during their visit
* Build expert product knowledge to sell and recommend our products and services
* Utilise digital tools and in-store devices to enhance the customer experience and ensure customers get the products they want
* Be a team player, create a great inclusive store environment, and support colleagues and the local community
* Be flexible to work across various areas of the store and adapt to changing retail demands
