Are you passionate about supporting young people to overcome barriers to learning? A welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Audenshaw is seeking a caring and proactive Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to make a real difference in the classroom, particularly supporting students with SEN, EHCPs, or additional learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of needs
Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons that meet all learners’ needs
Promote inclusion, independence, and confidence in and out of the classroom
Help implement behaviour and learning strategies under the guidance of the SENCO
Support the wider school environment through pastoral and classroom-based duties
Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with young people or in an educational or care setting
Empathetic, patient, and enthusiastic about helping students thrive
Good communication skills and a team-focused mindset
Knowledge of SEN strategies or an interest in developing in this area
Reliable, organised, and calm under pressure
