Our client is seeking a part time Journals Development Officer to support the development and management of a portfolio of peer reviewed academic journals. This role is offered on a part time basis (c. 2 days per week) and would suit someone with experience in scholarly or academic publishing who is interested in journal development and editorial strategy.
Salary and Benefits
* Salary: £32,345 (fulltime equivalent)

Role
* Supporting the development and day‑to‑day management of academic journals
* Working with editors, publishing partners and internal colleagues
* Contributing to journal development plans and performance monitoring
* Providing editorial and administrative support across peer review processes
* Helping improve journal visibility, engagement and best practice

About You
* Editorial experience in academic or scholarly publishing, with a solid understanding of journals publishing
* Confidence working with editors, editorial boards and academic stakeholders
* Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and written communication
* The ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative environment
* Experience in a research or higher education environment would be beneficial, in particular for a society, membership body or charity
